This textbook is a wonderful starting point for beginning play therapists. It fills you in on the history and development of play therapy as well as how to develop your skills as a play therapist and what you need to fill your playroom. I love play therapy and I'm looking forward to using this book to help me build my perfect playroom in the future!

I had to get this book for school and actually enjoyed reading it. The language was easy to understand and the author kept things interesting!

useful for my class

This book is great. I use it to teach others about play therapy because it's thoughtfully organized, with each chapter building upon the knowledge in the previous one. For my less advance students, the first few chapters are a great introduction into play therapy. For my more advance students or those wanting to learn more than foundational skills, the latter half of the book is great. All of my students have reported finding the book helpful.
