About the Author
Janet Kusterer has an MA from Johns Hopkins University and has been a feature writer and columnist for local papers since 1997. She was an executive director for Historic Ellicott City, Inc. and is the author of seven visitor guides to Ellicott City. She has also authored four books about Ellicott City history. Martha Anne Clark owns and operates Clark's Elioak Farm, which features many rescued exhibits from The Enchanted Forest. The farm has been in the Clark family for over 200 years. She has written one children's book, Trusty the Tractor, and assisted her father, State Senator James Clark, with his autobiography. She is president of the Tourism Council.

I well remember walking through the Forest when I was just a little girl. I have pictures of my mother & I outside the crooked house. I remember we had my cousin Linda with us one time. I loved that place...it fed my imagination before Disney came around. I suppose that they were simpler times when it didn't take much to delight a small child, but would that we could all go back there and see it as it was.
As a child, my parents would take my siblings and I to the Enchanted Forest in Ellicott City, MD. This book brought back all of those fond memories of riding the Mother Goose train, going down the rainbow slide, and seeing all the nursery rhyme characters. It took me down a wonderful Memory Lane.
Wow! Such love and first hand knowledge went into this! Loved the Enchanted Forest as a kid...but it closed when i was 5-6. So my memories are vague. This really was a superb and well written history of the park, and the "afterwards'!
The gift recipient loves this book, it brought back so many great memories for my Mom who went to The Enchanted Forest as a child.
This book meant so much to me. The nostalgia brought tears to my eyes. It was in excellent condition. Thanks. We need the Enchanted Forest now more than ever.
Went here as a kid, great book!
When you can't recreate a memory, it's nice to reminisce through photos and the history of the place. Takes me back to the age of innocents.
